This was two months ago when I got to see the most beautiful Taj Mahal, the pride and honour of our country. I was in Agra city just for a day, stayed at Four Points by Sheraton, which is one of the most stunning properties in Agra. I started my journey around 7 am from Delhi, took the most convenient Taj Expressway and reached the city within just 4 hours. I reached here on Friday and wasn’t aware of the fact that Taj Mahal is closed for tourists on Friday, so if you plan to visit Agra just to see this gorgeous monument then pick any other day than Friday.
I chilled at the poolside of my hotel, sipping a cocktail and gazing at the beautiful Taj Mahal from its terrace. One of the most beautiful and calm nights of my life. It was absolutely stunning. Fall had just touched India at that time, and I had to pack accordingly for my weekend getaway, so I packed very light. I am a person who sweats a lot and does not feel cold that much even in Winters, so I always keep my summer clothes with me. For my first look, I chose this mustard yellow skater dress from Koovs.com, which is one of my favourites. It just fits my apple shape body so well. I paired it with a denim shirt, which btw I stole from my brother’s wardrobe because I just loved it. It’s from Roadster.
The ankle strap heels are from Ginger and my jewellery is from a local flee market in Delhi. I chose this look for my first brunch in Agra, and this entire look did not cost me more than five thousand Rupees, so yes I am a smart shopper. Got the dress in less than one thousand bucks from Koovs at the time of sale, the denim shirt is for fifteen hundred Rupees, heels for just twelve hundred and neckpiece for less than two hundred. So, I guess it is easily affordable.
My second look for the dinner night was again a very breezy, I chose stripes on stripes look. Everything is from H&M India, got this vertical striped tank top in grey, black and white and paired it with a pair of horizontally striped pants. Completed the look with an over-sized white shirt.
H&M & Koovs, these two are my forever favourites and you will find most of my collection from these two brands only. First of all, they are extremely fashionable and affordable at the same time, I am a die-hard shopper for both of these brand names. What’s your favourite go-to brand?
