5 Favourite Books from My Mini Library

Books are the most important part of my life, I am literally a bookworm when it comes to reading. Although I must commit one thing before starting, that this wasn’t the case back then when I was in school or college. I literally never liked my course books enough to score great marks, but any book that never was a part of my curriculum or I didn’t have to sit down and give an examination for was my favourite. So, yes I like to read and explore but at the same time, it should never bore me. I have always been more of a coffee and books kinda girl 🙂

I don’t have a particular genre, I read almost everything that attracts me. I do buy a book by judging it’s cover, and I know you must be judging me right now. BUT! It’s true! Although, I do believe in Law of Attraction so you might find a lot of my favourites based on motivation, positive thinking and channelling energy into power. I am a firm believer that we are of what we think, and if we think positively nothing can stop us from getting what we aim for.

I believe books are powerful enough to change your life, every book gives that you read becomes a part of your story. Be it a fictional character that you obsess about for the longest time or a psychologically challenging book that makes brings out the courage in you to make the right decision, they are important and hold a very strong place in our lives.

I have read almost 250 books by now,  but there are a few that are my all-time favourites. And yes I love books over movies, I believe no movie adaptation of a book can ever do justice to the writer’s gist. Care to know which ones? Well, read on!

Zero to One by Peter Thiel with Blake Masters

If you are a budding entrepreneur, then this book has all the answers to your questions. This book was suggested to me by one of my professors, who knew I was working day & night to build my startup in Digital Marketing. I was so confused, puzzled and muddles in between decision making & cost cuttings, that I didn’t realise what was going right and what wasn’t for my organization to grow. But, this book gave me a sense of direction, it talked obstacles that every entrepreneur faces when he/she starts.

It starts with the most influencing tactic, which states, “The next Bill Gate will not build an operating system. The next Larry Page or Sergey Brin won’t make a search engine. If you are copying these guys, you aren’t learning from them.” This was an eye-opener, which helped me bring a lot of changes to my module because I didn’t wish to do what everybody else was doing and that is the exact recipe to success.

The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Dr Joseph Murphy

This book makes people believe in the powerhouse they carry within, the power of their inner self and how important it is for an individual to have faith in his conscious. I read this book almost a year ago, at that time I was going through some hard time in my career and a mentor of mine suggested me to give this book a read.

When I started reading this book, I never thought it would be motivational enough to help me make my decisions but surprisingly it did. The book emphasizes on, how the power of your subconscious mind can change you & your life completely, all you need is faith in your conscious. This book is a must read, especially for those who are seeking for motivation & positive approach towards decision making in life.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson

As the title suggests, this book is all about finding what’s important in one’s life and what one must let go off. You know we never really let go a lot of things and keep on watering a dead plant, which is exactly what the author has made crystal clear in his writing.

In one of his recent interview, Mark said, “If seeing things online or hearing things your co-workers say is really affecting you that much then you need to look at the values in your life. If your emotions are constantly being pushed this way or that way, and you feel like you’re never in control, it’s probably because you’re valuing a lot of the wrong things.”

I am someone who holds on to a lot of unnecessary things in life and often see people moving on so easily. So, this book has helped me a lot in valuing what truly is important for my personal growth and I can say I have learned the subtle art of not giving a f*ck 😉

You know it’s often said that people who think negatively are the ones who can’t be helped, but people who have the ability to think positively are the ones who always succeed and reach their goals. This book will help you overcome all the obstacles life throws at you just by maintaining a positive attitude towards life.

This book by Shiv Khera offers direction and will surely help you make positive decisions in your worst situations, this book will help you attain success with the power of positivity you carry within yourself.  This book was suggested by one of my dearest friends, as he says this book not just helped him in his difficult times but also was one of the major reasons for his success. It’s definitely a must read 🙂

The Power of Intention by Dr Wayne

This book is a game changer, for all of you who have heard about it I would say if you still haven’t bought it then you must. The book focuses on intention, not as something you do, but as an energy that you are a part of when something happens. This book works as a magical wand, the author speaks about “how we can train ourselves to tune into this energy and step beyond our minds and egos.”

This book explores intention – not as something you do – but as an energy you’re part of. We’re all intended here through the invisible power of intention. This is the first book to look at intention as a field of energy you can access to begin co-creating your life!
